Mission, Vision, & Values

OUR MISSION

The mission of Tri-County Christian School is to provide the Christian family with Christ-centered educational experiences, emphasizing the development of Christian character, educational excellence and preparation for a lifetime of service to God and man.

OUR SPIRITUAL & EDUCATIONAL GOALS

In order to protect children from spiritual confusion and to fulfill God's clear command to diligently teach His Word to children in every daily activity, Tri-County Christian School seeks to achieve the following spiritual and educational goals:

To create men and women of God through evangelizing, discipling, and equipping students for a lifetime of service to God and man.

To operate an independent, non-denominational Christian school which honors Christ by being distinctive both spiritually and academically.

To offer Christian families an educational alternative for their children which reinforces and strengthens the spiritual values and beliefs of the Christian home and local church.

To train future church leaders by equipping students with Bible knowledge, music and public speaking skills, and involving them in service projects.

To develop ethical, productive and responsible citizens and employees by providing them with leadership skills and the development of their Christian character.

Tri-County Christian School’s traditional classrooms focus on all commonly taught academic subjects while also offering Bible class (course content varies by grade), and training in Christian character development. Other distinctives include traditional phonics instruction in grades K-3, creative writing, public speaking, keyboarding proficiency and fine arts electives in the junior high. The overall quality of our academic program is evidenced by the many top honors our students have won in competitions against other private and public schools. Each year, Tri-County students capture awards in district and/or area-wide spelling bees, math Olympics, speech meets, etc.

Along with its quality academics, Tri-County Christian School seeks to “educate for eternity” by systematically integrating a Biblical worldview and value system throughout all of our academic instruction and student activities. To accomplish this goal, the school only employs certified teachers who are also committed evangelical Christians. TCCS strives to present Christ as Creator, Savior, and Lord in every subject area and school activity.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God.

2. We believe there is one God, infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3. We believe in the complete deity and perfect humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His ministry of intercession for His people, and in His personal return in power and glory.

4. We believe man was originally created in the image of and after the likeness of God and that he fell through sin and is therefore spiritually dead in trespasses and sin.

5. We believe in salvation by the sacrifice of Christ received by grace through faith alone.

6. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit in this world, which includes the convicting of the lost of sin, the regenerating and indwelling of all who believe, and the empowering of believers for service and godly living.

7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; the saved to the resurrection of eternal life and the lost to the resurrection of eternal punishment.

8. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers under the headship of Jesus Christ.

OUR COMMITMENT TO CHRIST, FAMILIES, & ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
